In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia one evening, the rats decided to make an appearance on our walk home from dinner. At one point, Lauren and I were hugging each other in the middle of the street, screaming like school girls as the pesky rats darted around in search of food scraps. We ducked into a grocery store for cover and started rattling off to the store clerk about the “giant rats” and how they were “everywhere” and on and on. At first he gave us this puzzled look- we were talking way too fast for him to grasp what we had said, but he knew it was something serious since we were so alarmed. As it turns out, he didn’t know the English word for rat but it didn’t take long for us to convey the traumatic scenario of the evening. We came to our senses, the guys in the store got a good laugh out of us, and then we decided to take a gander around and grab some snacks for our transit the next day. So the rat story has absolutely nothing to do with this photo except that, my friends, is how we stumbled upon these delectable Pringles flavors. If Blueberries & Hazelnut, Soft-shell Crab, or Lemon & Sesame don’t strike your fancy, what will?

Oh, I’m blown away by some of the Pringles flavours I’ve seen in SE Asia. Not really tempted to try any of them though, so much street food around I just couldn’t waste a sliver of stomach space on a Pringle!
And having said that in such a superior tone, I am partial to a the occasional Jack n Jill brand seaweed flavour crisp/chips.
And … I wonder if Naomi means the green tea flavoured Kit Kats. They’re very odd.
There are plenty of interesting snack food names & flavors in SE Asia, but I didn’t try too many of them either with the great street food available :) But as for green tea flavored kit kats- I’d like to see/taste those! They do sound odd.
Wow! Blueberry & Hazelnut! That sounds amazing! I’m excited to go to Asia! I just got back from 20 months in Europe and enjoyed trying different flavors of Fanta- green apply Fanta in Egypt was probably my favorite but Shokata was a good one, too- a play on the Romanian word ‘soc’ for elderberry. Yum! :)
I had some great Fanta tastings as well in Africa. In southern Africa they have this drink flavor called Cocopina (sp?) and I LOVE it (mix of coconut and pineapple)
Blueberry & Hazelnut Pringles?? Soft Shell Crab? Just the thought of these makes me never want to eat Pringles again.

Ummmm, none? Honestly I should have tried the blueberry & hazelnut in retrospect. I am curious now what they would have tasted like!
Dude…that’s SO COOL. I want to try the blueberry and hazelnut ones. Sounds gross/possibly amazing. So cool to see how different countries interpret what are staples in the U.S.

I think lemon and sesame pringles could be pretty good actually. The only weird thing I ever saw was a kitkat mint in NZ. Didnt try it though, which I regret now….
Mint kitkats sound amazing!
I wouldnt mind the lemon sesame but not the soft crab i would pass on that one. The kitkats in japan i hear are just awesome I’ve actually had the green tea ones and they were great.
I like green tea but can’t imagine how a green tea flavored kit kat would taste since I don’t think it’s such a strong flavor. Definitely trying them if/when I go to Japan.
I’ve seen Vinegar & Salt Pringles in Canada, but you can also find them in some places in the US. Did you try any of these flavors? The Blueberry & Hazelnut Pringles sound intriguing…
I did not try any of them but wish I had tried the blueberry & hazelnut. I should travel the world with the intent of tasting Pringles. There are so many flavors in southeast Asia that we would consider odd.
