We only had a few days on Penang, an island in Malaysia, but I knew I just had to go see the Snake Temple. There are pit vipers inside and outside of this Buddhist temple roaming freely. Supposedly, the burning incense sedates them but I don’t think I’d test that theory. An older lady, apparently lacking good judgment, decided to start poking at the snakes until a nun chastised her.

Very cool but I’m not so sure I’d be brave enough to go around so many snakes.
I read about this place the other day, now I SO want to go!!! You need to post more pics of the snakes. :)
Creepy snakes! Guess I get to look forward to this when I go to Malaysia in May!
