Montage Monday: African Safari in Luxury

// August 15th, 2011 // South Africa

One of the perks of my summer job was a safari in South Africa. And this wasn’t just any safari… we’re talking a five-star safari that I will probably never go on again unless I win the lottery. We spent two evenings on a private game reserve at Thornybush and went on four game drives. Our drivers and trackers assigned to us were amazing, and I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Here are just a few pictures from the safari. Although not all pictured, I saw elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, cheetahs, buffalo, leopards, lots of antelope, and birds.

And the best surprise of the trip….

I finally saw leopards!

  1. OMG…I love this. Great shots! Brings back memories. I was there years back (Kruger and a private reserve, too) and thought it was a peak experience in life–one that I’d love to have again. Looks like yours was truly amazing, too!

      Annette, The luxury of it was absolutely fantastic! However, I’ve done some really budget safaris as well and the animals are all the same :) The great thing about safaris is you can usually find one to suit every budget. Definitely something you need to do!

  5. That looks incredibly fun. Your hotel room looks amazing too!
