Montage Monday: Landscapes of Bend, Oregon

Peering through the trees at Sparks Lake in Oregon

Before departing the beautiful state of Oregon to tell you about the final 10 days of my US cross-country road trip, I wanted to leave you with a few photos that I took on my drive from Crater Lake back to Bend. From the lakes to the mountains, this part of our country is simply gorgeous.  On quiet back roads, I pulled over to take pictures and simply to admire the scenery. I would love to spend a summer in Bend, just hiking and exploring the area. Who wants to come with me?

Look closely. See the mountain in the distance?

Ah, love the fall colors

Old trucks line the roads to the mountains to collect firewood for the winter

  1. Aw, so fun to read this and see your pictures! My favorite is the old Ford on the side of the road, waiting patiently for the firewood load. So good to see photos from Oregon :)

Love the fall colours. I never really thought about the mountains in Oregon but I guess it’s south of the Rockies so it makes sense.

It looks kind of like MI in the fall… but more mountain-y :)
